About US

Repco Home Finance Ltd (RHFL) is a professionally managed housing finance company head quartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. We were incorporated in April 2000. We are registered as a housing finance company with the National Housing Bank (NHB)

As at the end of March 2024, RHFL is operating through 168 branches and 44 satellite centres in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Jharkhand, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Odisha, West Bengal, Rajasthan and Puducherry. The mission of RHFL has been to translate into reality the aspirations of people to own a house by covering the market -existing and potential- comprehensively through institutional credit support customized to suit individual needs in a transparent and ethical way.

The salient and unique features of RHFL are innovative loan products, direct customer contact and customer ownership, focus on quality customer servicing, transparency and speed of operations, focus on relatively under-penetrated markets and balanced portfolio mix, robust risk management systems and processes, low cost operations, well recognized brand in south India with an established track record, stable and experienced senior management team. The Company’s products have been developed to suit the needs of different customers.

We have witnessed a steady growth in the past by increasing our geographical footprint by deepening our reach selectively in existing regions and expanding to new regions, continuing focus on under penetrated markets, focus on risk management, accessing low cost and diversified sources of funds, and maintaining low operating costs. The company has a sound risk management system in place. RHFL will continue in its efforts to diversify its sources of funds to ensure its cost is kept at minimum. It will also strive to keep its operating costs to the minimum.

Mr. C. Thangaraju

Mr. C. Thangaraju is the Chairman, non-executive and non-independent director of our Company. He is also a Director in M/s. Repco Bank (Promoter). He also holds directorship in M/s. Repco Micro Finance Limited (Associate Company). He has been practicing as Lawyer for more than three decades. He has been a Director on the Board of our Company since 23rd May, 2022.

Mr. E. Santhanam

Mr. E. Santhanam is a non-executive and non-independent director of our Company. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce. He is the Chairman of M/s. Repco Bank (Promoter of the Company) and holds directorship in SM Feeds & Farms (India) Private Limited. He has been a Director on the Board of our Company since 12th August, 2022.

Mr. B. Raj Kumar

Mr. B. Raj Kumar is a non-executive and Independent Director of our Company. He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering, Master’s degree in Business Administration, and a Diploma in Computerized Banking Applications. He is also a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers. He has more than 35 years of Banking experience with Public Sector Bank. He was associated with Indian Bank in various roles and retired as Executive Director. He has been a Director on the Board of our Company since 11th September, 2022. He holds directorship in Capwise Financial Services Private Limited and UTI Infrastructure Technology And Services Limited.

Mr. Mrinal Kanti Bhattacharya

Mr. Mrinal Kanti Bhattacharya is a non-executive and Independent Director of our Company. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Master’s degree in Commerce. He is a member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. He is also a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers. He has 35 plus years of Banking experience. His last full-time employment was as an Executive Director of Indian Bank. He has been a Director on the Board of our Company since 11th September, 2022.

Mr. R. Vaithianathan

Mr. R. Vaithianathan is a non-executive and Independent Director of our Company. He is a Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant by qualification. He has 35 years of Leadership experience within the Tata Group out of which last 6 years was as Managing Director of Tata Capital Housing Finance Limited. He has been a Director on the Board of our Company since 11th November, 2022.

Mrs. Usha Ravi

Mrs. Usha Ravi,is a non-executive and Independent Director of our Company. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science and is also a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers. She has 39 years of banking industry experience. In her last role she was associated with IDBI Bank and Exim Bank as Chief Vigilance Officer. She has been a Director on the Board of our Company since 11th November,2022.

Mr. T. Karunakaran

Mr. T. Karunakaran is the Managing Director & CEO of our Company. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science. He has approximately 33 years of experience in housing finance. He was the Chief Financial Officer of the company from 13th May, 2014 to 14th February, 2022. Further, he served as the Whole-Time Director & Chief Operating Officer of the Company from 1st September, 2021 to 22nd August, 2022. He has been associated with our Company since 18th August, 2004. Prior to joining our Company, he worked for a period of 13 years with Ind Bank Housing Limited.
